Leslie Carruthers

The CBG Affiliate Weekend will be held on July 15-18, 2011 in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Present an educational 101 level workshop designed to guide individuals through Search Engine Optimizations Best Practices and empower them to take their sites and affiliate earnings to the next level
  2. Answer questions from beginners to intermediate to advanced search marketers
  3. Explore how best practices SEO can support attendees affiliate work

Instructional Strategies:

  1. Instruction is interactive, teaching with all modalities (auditory, visual and tactile), with audience participation. Leslie will use real life examples from attendees, field questions, perform Site Clinics providing real time recommendations (if Internet connection is available), lead the class in written exercises and more, all facilitated via a PowerPoint presentation. Teaching to all modalities ensures that this experiential learning opportunity leaves participants ready and able to apply what they learned. The bottom line objective is that attendees leave with actionable items they can apply at their own websites to generate leads and fulfill on their mission. To that end Leslie will share actionable tips and strategies that attendees can apply immediately and make the search engines (Google, Yahoo!, etc.) turn their web sites into a lead generating, cash-churning, high ROI (return on investment) lead generating machine.
  2. Key terms will be defined and base level concepts explained in easy to follow, everyday language. We will demystify the world of Search Engine Optimization. Attendees will feel competent about what they can do themselves and if they choose to outsource that they can work with their web site vendors to make their web sites search engine friendly.
  3. We request that a few of the attendees allow us to incorporate real life examples from their curent websites into the presentation, so participants see the work in action. Leslie will walk particpants through those real life examples with screen shots and instruction on how those site owners can take their websites to the next level. If a live internet connection is available Leslie will also include a Site Clinic. In that she will review attendees sites on the fly, calling on the audience members to practice their new found skills, auditing their own sites as well as those of peers. This experiential learning ensures that attendees are able to apply what they learned when they return home to their desks. Also provided will be a digital PDF handout and links to online resources such as a glossary of terms, so participants can speak with technical resources and web developers and designers confidently, in their language. ebooks will be available to purchase for those attendees who desire additional support after the session. And we’ll share a sense of time required and fees typical for outsourcing.
